Water Gardens Shopping Trip

KMB Coffee Club was a day where 12 ladies (10 in Bendigo and 2 met us at the venue) joined together for a shopping day at Watergardens Shopping Centre in Taylors Lakes.

In the morning I did commit the day to the Lord and that we as a family of sisters would bear with one another. I had no idea of what was in store but as the day unfolded it was definitely a day of “expect the unexpected”.

As I sought the Lord at the end of our day I remembered something I had heard on my mp3 by Travis Ripley only a week before. “There are no good or bad days, only days of Grace. Sometimes God gives enough grace to enjoy and sometimes enough grace to endure”

I thank the Lord that He sends His word to capture our hearts before the need arises.

We certainly did experience grace to enjoy and grace to endure. Gods grace was sufficient. There was work being down on one of the stations, so our trip to Watergardens was both train and bus. We stopped at Switch Café for coffee where another sister joined us and we enjoyed fellowship with one another.

Off to shopping and definitely bags were a favourite that day. It was enjoyed by all and most of us come home with something new. We stopped for lunch and after more shopping it was time for another coffee break before our journey home.

Well, our journey home was one of endurance. What was to be a two hour trip became a four hour trip due to lack of transport of buses due to work on stations. Even then Gods grace was sufficient as He Sovereignly supplied the need for one dear sister with a walking stick who was able to go home by car with another sister.

Two other ladies were able to board an earlier bus. This left eight of us to endure the long trip home. As we were waiting for another bus to decide to take us home I was truly encouraged as one sister bought and provided drinks for us as we were all quite weary.

I also overheard a bystander say to one of us “your group are really looking out for one another” Praise God for this is what we as a family of God are called to do.

Through all of this my heart rejoices as a few of us knew that God had a greater purpose for this day. There have been beautiful accounts of what this day of being together,

Sharing together and bearing with one another accomplished in their hearts. It was a day where we were joined even closer with cords of love and bonding with one another as a family of sisters in the Lord. And I thank every sister that shared this day with me,

And I Praise God for what He accomplished for His glory in us this day which far outweighs our light affliction. “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is Gods will for you, who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thess. 5:18
